  • The maximum distance we are willing to travel is 7 miles in total i.e. from house to church and then onto the reception venue.
  • Providing the distance from house to church/ceremony venue, is within 1 mile and total distance is less than 7 miles, we would offer to make an additional trip to the ceremony venue for bridesmaids/mother of the bride.
  • We provide white or ivory bows on the carriage doors. Should you wish to have another colour, this is not an issue, but we would ask that you supply the ribbon, in order that we do not obtain the wrong shade!
  • Please advise prior to booking if there are any significant hills on the journey. We may then check the route for you and confirm whether the journey is practical for our mode of transport – to avoid any upset on the day.
  • We provide complimentary champagne on route to your reception. A picnic basket with champagne cooler and glasses is placed on the front seat of the carriage. With napkins placed around the glasses and the cork already popped just before (to avoid the champagne being spilt on the brides dress!), the bride and groom help themselves on their journey to the reception.
  • Should you be having a civil ceremony at the same location as your reception, we would recommend that following the service, the bride and groom take a short drive (approximately 15 minutes) to relax and enjoy your champagne, prior to returning to greet your guests and continue with your reception. Couples have said it was the only time they spent alone together!
  • We always carry golf size umbrellas with us that fold down and fit into the luggage box on the back of the carriage- just in case it’s needed walking from the carriage to the Church entrance!
  • Our Glass landau carriages are suitable for all weathers, having folding hoods that can be raised and lowered within 2 minutes.
  • We hold full Public Liability insurance to the value of £1 million pounds, with Carriage House Insurance Company.
  • We also hold a Performing Animals Licence under the “Performing Animals (Regulation) Act 1925. – see attached. This is for the safety of the general public and for the welfare of our horses.
  • Prior to booking, we recommend all clients to attend a wedding where we are providing our service, in order to see the full turnout of carriage and horses. Alternatively, we openly welcome our clients to view the horses and carriage at our home in Northamptonshire- please just contact us prior, to arrange a convenient time.
  • Unfortunately we do not print our prices on the website as we treat each event individually. However please do not hesitate to contact us by either phone or e-mail in order that we may supply an accurate quotation and any additional information to you.
